Run a Plateau Rewrite step by step

1. Pick the pin

Open Plateau Rewrite and either paste the pin URL, import a pin from your connected Pinterest account, or arrive from What's Working with the pin already loaded.

2. Add the keyword

Type the keyword you want this pin to win. If you leave it blank we infer one from the existing copy, but naming it yourself gives a sharper rewrite.

3. Read the diagnosis

Before the rewrites, you get a short read on why the pin flattened: keyword drift, a title that buries the phrase, a description that repeats the title, or an angle that has been done to death.

4. Compare the three rewrites

Each rewrite takes a different angle. Check the linter badges on each one:

• Green means it is inside every Pinterest limit
• Amber is a warning worth reading, not a blocker
• Red means it breaks a hard rule and should be fixed before publishing

5. Publish and track

Copy the rewrite you want, or export all three. Publish it as a new pin to the same destination URL, then check back in What's Working in two to three weeks.
