Connect Google Analytics
Give the Content Planner access to your GA4 property.
Connecting Google Analytics lets the Content Planner read which pages drive your traffic so it can build a Pinterest plan around your proven winners. You connect through Google's secure sign-in, so your login stays with Google.
Before you start: You need a Google Analytics 4 property for the site you want to plan for, and you need access to that property under the Google account you will connect with.
To connect:
- Go to Integrations.
- Click Connect Google Analytics.
- Sign in with the Google account that has access to your GA4 property.
- Approve the read-only access PIN Hacking requests.
- Choose the GA4 property you want to use, if prompted.
- You are returned to PIN Hacking and Google Analytics shows as connected.
Good to know:
- GA4 only. Universal Analytics is retired, so you need a GA4 property. If you only have an old Universal Analytics property, set up GA4 first.
- Read-only. PIN Hacking reads your traffic data to build plans. It does not change anything in your analytics.
- Not seeing your property? Make sure the Google account you connected actually has access to that property, then reconnect.
Once Google Analytics is connected, head to the Content Planner to turn that data into a publishing plan.
